T4 Action has been heavy lately with the Order's new organization and mobilization. In the last week we've taken the fight to The Inevitable City itself twice. T4 Keep and Objective taking has been round the clock for loot and renown. The armies need more equipment to take on the King himself but that day is coming soon.
Also new is the pre-1.0.5 patch or 1.0.4b patch that went live today. Below is a summery of the changes.
WAAAGH!!!
1.0.5 is cooking away on the Public Test Server! In the meantime we had a few changes we wanted to patch to all live servers to continue improving your game experience.
Tomorrow morning (11/11/08), starting at 7AM EST all North American servers will be brought offline to begin updating to 1.0.4b. Oceanic servers will follow at 9AM EST and we anticipate all servers to be back online by 1PM EDT.
We have provided the notes for 1.0.4b below, enjoy...and don't forget to stop by the Public Test Server and give us your feedback on 1.0.5, coming soon!
When conquered, Keeps will always provide three gold loot bags and Fortresses will now offer six guaranteed gold loot bags as part of the chest loot. Rally Masters have been added to all warcamps. Now, players can set their rally point in a warcamp in the same manner as binding in a chapter hub.
To promote population balance among the various scenarios, we have added a feature that reduces the number of times a specific scenario can launch in a short period of time. This will give scenarios which are launched less frequently an opportunity to catch up in the queue population and launch more often.
Fixed an issue that prevented grouped players from earning influence if the group's leader was in a different zone.
Electromagnet: This ability has undergone significant changes. The cost of the ability has been significantly reduced while the cooldown has been increased. In addition the build time has been increased, the ability can no longer be cast on the move, and the maximum number of targets affected by this ability has been decreased and it can now be defended against. Lastly this ability will grant immunity to knockback effects.
Chaotic Rift: This ability has undergone significant changes. The cost of the ability has been significantly reduced and its cooldown has been increased. In addition, the build time has been increased. The ability can no longer be cast on the move, the maximum number of targets affected by this ability has been decreased, and it can now be defended against. Lastly, this ability will also grant immunity to knockback effects.
In addition to reducing the amount of damage received from high-level encounter NPCs, each Ward on high-level armor set pieces worn will now affect the amount of damage players are able to do to those NPCs. Players not wearing any pieces of the appropriate armor set will see their damage greatly reduced. For each piece of the appropriate armor a player wears, their damage against the boss monster will increase.

Greetings!
The Public Test Server is coming soon, so in the meantime we wanted to provide you with instructions on how you can get onto the server as well as how to copy your characters and jump right into testing.
The purpose of the Public Test Server (PTS) is for the players to help us refine and test the latest version of the game by experiencing the changes firsthand and providing feedback and bug reports to Mythic. As such, we want to remind you that the content introduced to this server is still considered “in development,” and that bugs and issues not found on the LIVE server may occur on the PTS. All features and fixes listed below are subject to change until we release Game Update 1.0.5 to all live servers.
When leaving Feedback or Bug Reports we encourage you to provide details on why you feel the way you do or why you think something needs to be fixed. It's also important to note that when you submit a Bug Report, it automatically records your location in game so be sure to submit them at the location where you experienced them when you can!
To access the Public Test Server, locate the new patcher: testpatch.exe in your main Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning directory. This file will be automatically downloaded when the Public Test Server is opened.
Simply run the testpatch.exe file to start the patcher. Just like the live game, it will download everything automatically, just click play and you're good to go!
Creating a copy of your Live character to play on the Public Test Server is easy, too. Visit your Mythic Account Center, login, and click on the Character Transfer Button above your Game Account profiles. Then, follow the instructions to the Character Transfer Center. Once you are in the Character Transfer Center you will see three options at the bottom. Select "character copy" and then fill in the information on the next page to choose the character you wish to copy.
Once you have confirmed the copy you can view the status of the transfer as it is processed. Please note that you may be required to change the name of your character to avoid naming conflicts. If for any reason there is an error with your transfer, you can click on the "More Details" option to find out why the Character Copy was unsuccessful.
That's all it takes to jump into the action and test the latest bleeding edge updates before they come to a server near you!
And now, without further ado, we present to you the Public Test Server notes for Game Update 1.0.5...WAAAGH!!!

Folks,
After over three years of work and one of the smoothest launches in MMORPG history, WAR is moving quickly towards the end of its first month. This is a perfect time to take a look at where we were, where we are and where we are going. First, on behalf of everyone at Mythic, I would like to thank you for your interest in our game. While it is impossible for me to personally thank all 750K+ worldwide account holders, please know that we are grateful for your support to date and the support we hope you will show us in the future. It’s been a long road to get where we are today but it has been a worthwhile journey. While I might be tempted to say that the future’s so bright we have to wear shades, as you’ve seen from our podcasts, we’ll even wear those indoors.
So, as to where we are today, WAR is doing fabulously. We are one of, if not the, fastest selling MMORPG out of the blocks and we are also one of the most highly rated MMORPGs of all time. While the game is off to a great start, we still have a long way to go before we can declare WAR a major long-term success. That success will only come by being focused on making a great game even better. How we are going to accomplish this begins with our first major patch (1.1), the subject of this State of the Game message. While WAR is truly a glorious MMORPG, it is not perfect and over the last month our primary focus has been to correct bugs and tweak a few things here and there. We’ve stayed away from major feature or career changes until we’ve had plenty of time to gather and analyze the data from our players. Having done that, we can now move on to what we are going to do over the next couple of months, culminating with the release of patch 1.1 later this Fall.

We have join forces and joined the Catalyst Alliance. This Alliance includes White Mantle, Tall Order, Bellatoris Domini, Order and Progress, and Khrymson. These guilds have similar play styles and habits that should make our progress into the end game more spectacular. My hope in joining this alliance is we will be able to more actively participate in the mass pvp by reacting more quickly and with more force. I also hope this will help create scenario groups as well as pve groups to help people level.
I think this starts a new chapter in Dust to Dust's involvement in the overall war. Good luck to everyone and lets kills some more Destro.

Well WAR launch has come and past. This is by far the smoothest MMO launch I have been apart of. No server crashes and only a few server maintenance periods that took place during off hours anyhow.
That being said we created the guild on the first day of the CE Head Start, and the guild has now grown to include members from the SE launch and Public Launch. We are however looking for new members that are motivated and skilled to help battle back the Destruction Invasion. If you're looking for a high skill and low drama guild, please fill out an application on this site.
Cannon to right of them, Cannon to left of them, Cannon in front of them Volley'd and thunder'd; Storm'd at with shot and shell, Boldly they rode and well, Into the jaws of Death, Into the mouth of Hell Rode the six hundred.

Finally, it has begun. Warhammer Online opens it's doors today for Head Start play. As of this time we have chosen the Volkmar server. Please drop by and say hello.
***Head Start News*** Throughout this evening and the wee hours of the morning, you may notice some of the servers listed here coming online.
Please note that any servers that come up before CE Head Start begins at 1:00 PM EDT on Sunday will be wiped. This means that any characters created on these servers before the official beginning of CE Head Start will be erased.
Thanks for your cooperation, and you know what I'm going to say here about keeping an eye on the Herald for updates, right?!
***Head Start update***
WAAAGH!!!
Things are going great as we prepare for the CE Head Start, so well in fact that we're opening an hour early at 12PM (Noon) EDT!
We hope you came hungry because we're going to be serving up pure WARsome with a side of RvR for lunch!
(No really I don't talk like this seriously just looking forward to lunch.)
